At the FIRST FTC Global Premier Tournament,
the Girl Botz were honored with the

2nd Place Reach Award

Among 96 competing teams — including 85 high school teams from around the world and 11 middle school teams from Michigan — Girl Botz was honored to receive a 2nd Place Trophy at the Michiana Premier Event!

The reach award celebrates the team that has best introduced and recruited new people into the FIRST community. It recognizes teams that effectively spark others to embrace the FIRST culture and act as ambassadors to expand the program's footprint

The first all girls robotics team at Larson Middle School. The Girl Botz team gives each student ownership of our robot, focusing on both technical and soft skills. We thrive on year-round learning, including coding and CAD sessions during the off-season. We aim to expand the FIRST program, enhance problem-solving skills, and continue giving back to the community. Volunteerism and inspiring others are at the heart of our values. We believe "A rising tide lifts all boats," and through dedication, passion, and teamwork, we all succeed together. We’re excited for the journey ahead, knowing there’s no limit to how many teams can thrive in FIRST.

We foster collaborations with teams locally, nationally, and internationally. We have committed ourselves to community service and outreach beyond the competition field.

We maintain a 1:1 member-to-mentor ratio, which fosters growth in our abilities. Our mentors work at companies such as Stellantis, General Motors, Ford, ABB, FANUC, and Freudenberg Battery Power Systems. Additionally, many of our youth and high school mentors are former Girl Botz team members and Larson Middle School robotics students who have returned to help guide the team. Notably, 80% of our youth mentors are female.
